What is Brainspotting and How Does It Help?

Brainspotting is a gentle, neuroscience-based coaching method that helps your brain and body process stress and trauma that gets “stuck.” When we go through something overwhelming, our brain sometimes can’t process it all, and those experiences get stored in our body. They can show up as anxiety, overthinking, tension, or emotional numbness.

In a Brainspotting session, we use your eye position to find a “brainspot” linked to how you’re feeling. This helps your brain naturally release what it has been holding—without needing to talk through every painful detail. Many of my clients tell me, “This is the first time I’ve felt something shift without having to relive it all.”
